They are, yes. They're good just for the smell if you don't use them to cook.

That's wonderful! I have a friend that enjoys cooking, so I'm excited to share them with him.

I started taking care of plants and fish to stay busy, too. I have a lot more free time here than I did back home.

Oh, Oscar! Oscar Pine? I know him. I mean I know OF him. Dipper mentioned him a few times. You tell him if he ever needs more herbs he's free to stop by Prufrock.

I feel like that's the odd thing about this place. You have much more time on your hands and at the same time it's harder to fill it. I have to keep making projects for myself.

Yes, that's him! We both come from Remnant, so we've known each other for a while.

It is odd. Back home it felt like there were never enough people to help with defense, but there are Hunters everywhere in Trench.

[ Which sometimes causes its own problems but... eh. ]

What projects you been working on lately?

My house, mainly. I figured fixing it up would be a good couple of months of work but with how many natural disasters seem to happen here's it's stretched on a lot longer.

I've thought of taking up hunting myself but that may just be living in Prufrock talking.

[What it really is is the Corruption talking, the inexorable pull toward danger and conflict. But if he can frame it as a sensible decision, well then, he's going to.]

Being a Hunter can be very rewarding, even though it's dangerous. Do you have any experience with that sort of work?

[Yeah, that's the thing about him. He doesn't look remotely dangerous until he does.]

Not like it is here. Back home I wasn't the one taking point on the monster hunting, but I also didn't have magical electric blood.

What I'm real good at is weaponry and I figure the best way to stress test it is to take it into the field.

[ The weaponry angle makes plenty of sense to Penny! There's tons of people from Remnant with combat styles built entirely around their weapons, be it personal preference or a lack of a combat Semblance. ]

I could assist you with that as well, if you like. Not testing the weapons, but making sure you have backup while you test them.

I'd appreciate that a lot actually. I like to think most of my ideas are good but sometimes I get a little too in the weeds of things and forget the basics. That and I just don't much like being alone.

[And the last time he went out hunting with anyone it was Luna who, bless her heart, clearly is not made for it. It might be nice to have someone along who wants to be there.]
